Sound and District Primary School near Nantwich has turned back the clock to celebrate its 150th anniversary with a Victorian-themed day and evening of celebrations.
The special anniversary event marked a century and a half since the opening of the former Broomhall Board School in 1876.

A Victorian Christmas Festival took place at St Mary’s Church in Acton near Nantwich.
The opening day featured Carols from Acton Primary School which included a guest appearance from Father Christmas.
Couples can now tie the knot at the most iconic park in the Crewe and Nantwich area. Queens Park, seen as one of Cheshire East’s “jewels in the crown”, has been formally named as an official wedding venue.
Nantwich Museum is joining in the Christmas celebrations by staging a Victorian tour of the town. The tour will provide a leisurely and informative walkabout of the town in Victorian times.
