With the festive season almost upon us, I’m writing to let your readers know that Santa and his elves are getting ready to give children with vision impairment a Christmas treat in the run up to the big day.

A vision to transform south Crewe will be put to the public later this month.
Members of Cheshire East Council’s strategic planning board were given a glimpse of the future for the area around Crewe railway station at a meeting as they endorsed the latest draft of the Crewe Hub area action plan.
A service for people in South Cheshire who experience vision and hearing loss has been launched.
Cheshire East Council is working with charity Deafness Support Network to provide the new “one-stop shop”.
