Wybunbury All Stars and Nantwich Town staged a fundraising game in memory of a World War 2 hero.

The seven-a-side match saw Nantwich Town beating Wybunbury All Stars 9-1, with Sam Day scoring a consolation goal for Wybunbury with the final kick of the game.

An amazing collection of World War 2 newspapers has been donated to the Oxfam Bookshop in Nantwich.

The collection includes more than 100 original newspaper editions all covering the major events of the 1939-1945 war.
