Queens Diamond Jubilee celebration - Reaseheath College

Reaseheath College students celebrated the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee in style with a tea party on the Nantwich college’s front lawn.

Organised by the Students Association, the event included patriotic face painting, a barbecue and sports such as cricket and rounders.

As well as marking Her Majesty’s 60 years on the throne, the tea party gave students another chance to raise money for their RAG (Raising and Giving) fund.

This year’s RAG charity is The Oliver King Foundation which raises awareness of Sudden Arrhythmic Death Syndrome (SADS), a heart problem which affects mainly young people.

Students Association spokesman Lionel Smith said: “This was a unique opportunity to celebrate a historic event, have fun and raise money for charity, all at the same time.”
