Football fans who like to play at a gentler pace can sign up to a one-off session being staged at Nantwich Town FC.
The “Walking Football” event at the Weaver Stadium is aimed at the older generation still keen on playing the sport they love.
It’s been put together by Age UK Cheshire and Cheshire East Council, and will run on Tuesday September 11 from 3.30pm to 4.30pm.
Equipment for the session has been donated by the Evo-Stik Premier League club, and it will take place on their state-of-the-art 3G pitch.
A spokeswoman said: “The session includes, warm-up, some skill practice and a game. It’s a great way to meet new people, socialise, keep fit and enjoy the beautiful game!”
It’s £2.50 per person.
