chiropractors attend Nantwich study day

A well-known Cheshire chiropractor held a national study day in Nantwich.

The day was chaired and hosted by Clare Sheehan, a McTimoney chiropractor working in Nantwich and Telford.

The study day was organised to discuss issues and factors influence their line of work.

Guest speaker David Cribb, an information security specialist, led a workshop “how to keep medical records secure, accurate and accessible” and to relate the work to the Data Protection Act.

Issues such as appropriate physical security, sharing with consent, registering with the Information Commissioner’s Office, and developing Privacy Notices were all discussed.

Students viewed and commented on two videos – one looked at personal experience of suffering a stroke, the second focused on the long term habits and posture of online gamers.

Clare said: “Changing activities, using different locations including the garden, lots of audience participation and healthy food and drink were important to keep the brain active and people focused!”

A second CPD study day is planned for later in the year.
