Madison Spa's pink charity night in Nantwich

A Nantwich hair and beauty salon is using the power of pink to help boost funds for Breast Cancer Care.

Madison Spa, in the old Kiltearn Medical Centre off Hospital Street, is opening its doors to a pink-themed charity night on October 4.

It will be part of a programme of fundraising for the charity which urges everyone to ‘Wear it Pink’ each autumn.

The business, run by former GP Ryan Hamdy and his wife Karen, hopes to raise hundreds of pounds from the evening.

It will feature complimentary pink nail-polishing, reflexology taster sessions and demonstrations by beauty houses including Decleor, Guinot, St Tropez and Caci.

They hope to welcome more than 100 people to the free event, from 5pm-8pm, which will raise money through a charity raffle with prizes including facial and body products.

Karen said: “As therapists we form a close personal bond with our clients and sadly too often we hear about them falling victim to breast cancer.

“Some clients we have lost to this dreadful disease and others have pulled through and as well as raising cash we aim to raise awareness of the need for self-examination and routine hospital checks.”

The salon, which sees more than 500 women pass through its doors each week, moved from 38 Hospital Street to the former medical centre last January. It’s also home to the spa’s Renew Clinic.

The salon will be staging a collection throughout autumn and winter and will present funds to Breast Cancer Care in the New Year.
