Nantwich Town have unveiled an advert to appoint a successor to Jimmy Quinn.

The club is looking to bring in a new head coach to revive the team’s flagging Evo-Stik Premier League fortunes.

Quinn left the club by mutual consent on Friday after a 3-1 home defeat by lower league Curzon Ashton in the Doodson Sports Cup on Thursday night.

There was early speculation that former favourite at Weaver Stadium Michael Lennon could be lined up for a return.

But Lennon has distanced himself from the possibility, telling Nantwichnews: “I’ve not even thought about managing yet, I still want to play on for a few more years yet.”

The Nantwich Town advert states that a replacement should have “at least five years’ experience at Evo-Stik league level or above, and who is UEFA A licensed”.

Candidates should also have a focus on developing the club’s youth system, it says.
