The new managers of The Talbot pub in Nantwich have re-opened its doors after a major refurbishment.

Louise and Richard Windram have taken over at the Marston’s pub on Oat Market after moving to the area with their two children.

Both have run pubs for many years and reckon they know the key to turning The Talbot into a town centre success.

Louise said: “For us, a local pub should be friendly but also professional, putting customer service first – that’s everything from quality products to a warm welcome.

“Nantwich is a busy market town with good opportunities for us to make this a real community hub.

“Karaoke nights are proving lively and sociable, so we’re also planning pub quiz nights soon.

“Nantwich’s market days bring in a lot of tourists and retired people who really appreciate a low-priced light lunch while they shop.

“These deals have been very popular so far and we’ve noticed many repeat customers even though we’ve only been here a few weeks.”

The building has been refurbished inside and out with a new heated outdoor seating area, modern decor and staff uniforms.

It serves a varied pub menu including fresh Club sandwiches, soup, baked potatoes and pub classics, as well as cask ales.

The Talbot’s daytime lunch deals with one, two and three-course set menus.
