The sun emerged as hundreds of visitors gathered to enjoy Cheerbrook’s Big Taste event in Nantwich.

And families were treated to a fine range of culinary delights on offer as the event displayed local produce at its best.

Organisers at Cheerbrook, off Newcastle Road, erected a large marquee for suppliers to display their wares.

They brought in a band to entertain the crowds, and offered a huge array of tasty treats to try out.

Goods on display and available to taste included locally produced sausages and burgers, cheeses, jams, pickles, chutneys, pork pies, cakes and other desserts, wines, beers, ciders, and even Cheshire-made gin.

Snugbury’s was also on site as the Saturday afternoon sun gave youngsters a thirst for ice cream!

And there was a barbecue serving up delightful smells for the hungry.

Local oat producers Mornflake, one of the oldest companies in the UK, supported the event and had a stall to display their products.

The two-day Big Taste event was disrupted on the Friday by torrential downpours.

But Cheerbrook staff failed to have their spirits dampened, and Saturday’s weather brought out the crowds once more.
