Nantwich Museum is hosting a programme of children’s drop-in workshops and a Children’s Trail competition.

The activities are based on the Pillory Street venue’s major exhibition Nantwich Eats, 100 years of food shopping.

Get Arty with Food takes place on August 14 and 15, including Story Time The Very Hungry Caterpillar at 11.30am and 13.30pm.

Fun at the Table takes place on August 21 and 22, including Story Time Goldilocks at 11.30am and 13.30pm.

And Experiment with Food takes place on August 28 and 29.

The workshops for children are drop in at the museum between 11am and– 3pm. Cost is £2 per child who must be accompanied.

Large groups are requested to book in advance.

Story Time is a new venture included in some workshops where children have a chance to act out the stories using props.

The Children’s Trail competition involves a search for picture and letter clues from nine participating shops in the town and completing an anagram.

Entry forms are available from the museum and cost 20p. There is a £20 Book Voucher prize for the winner.
