A sneak-in burglar stole goods from a Nantwich home on Remembrance Sunday – while the owner was still in the house.

The thief walked in through an unlocked door at the property on Cherry Tree Court, in Stapeley.

The owner was unaware in another room as the offender stuffed a number of electrical items into a blue bag before running off.

The incident happened at about 12.20pm yesterday (Sunday November 10).

Crewe CID are also investigating two other burglaries in Nantwich which happened on Saturday night (November 9).

The first was at The Pike, Nantwich, and happened between 5.30pm and 11pm while the occupants were out for the evening.

Offenders entered the rear garden, disabled security lights and smashed a patio window before entering and stealing jewellery.

The second happened at Bishops Wood, Nantwich, between 4.30pm and 8pm while the occupants were out.

Offenders entered the rear garden through a side gate and forced a rear conservatory door open to gain entry and search for jewellery.
