It will be a case of rockin’ back the clock when Nantwich Civic Hall hosts a 50s night to raise funds for two charities.

The Reverse Rett Charity, which funds and researches Rett Syndrome in children and Nantwich’s Wingate Centre in Wrenbury, will benefit from a charity auction and raffle.

The Reverse Rett donation is in support of Team Ciara – a team of cyclists who will be making the trip across 14 countries in June to raise awareness and funding for the charity.

Cycling 110 miles each day, the team will pedal off in Scotland with a gruelling run that will take in Holland, France,Italy and Germany.

The evening will feature live music entertainment from a Buddy Holly tribute band along with the main act, The Jet-Setters – a band who use vintage equipment to re-create the sound of the 50s rock and roll vibe.

Organiser Sophie Slater said: “Following the success of our previous year’s events including our James Bond Ball and our 1920s night, we decided we wanted to rock up a little and the 50s should prove a great setting for a fun filled night raising money for two very important causes.”

The show takes place on Saturday March 29 and tickets are still available on sale at £15 from Nantwich Civic Hall in person or by calling the venue on 01270 628633.
