Elvis fans in Nantwich will be all shook up when one of the world’s top impersonators performs in the town.
Chris Connor will be hot-footing it from the London Palladium, as seen on the BBC and ITV, to perform at the The Studio nightclub next month.
He burst on to the UK Elvis scene in early 2009 and within 12 months he was performing at venues such as the Manchester Apollo and the Harrogate International Centre in the World’s Greatest Elvis Tribute Concerts.
He is also backed by the Sweet Inspirations, Elvis Presley’s original backing singers.
In April last year, he appeared with his West End band in front of a full audience at the London Palladium.
He is now recognised as the world’s fastest rising leading Elvis performer because of his look and voice.
“Chris Connor is to me the closest thing to the King I’ve ever heard and ever seen in my life. I’m in shock, it’s simply amazing….” said Martin Fontaine, performer in the Elvis Story in Canada.
For the last three years, he played Elvis in the hit show “Legends” in Blackpool.
He has also toured throughout the UK, Europe, Australia and America and appeared regularly on TV and Radio.
His show features classic Elvis hits such as Burning Love, Blue Suede Shoes, and Suspicious Minds, as well as famous ballads like Love Me Tender, Can’t Help Falling in Love and Are you Lonesome Tonight.
Chris has now signed to the hugely successful show in Canada ‘ELVIS ELVIS ELVIS’! after completing a 10-day “The 70s Vegas Elvis” tour in March.
The show in Nantwich is on Friday May 23, starting at 8.30pm.
