A musical quartet has been providing a smooth finish for coffee drinkers in Nantwich town centre!

The Terry James Quartet, which plays in the Caffe Nero on the second Sunday of each month, performs a mix of smooth jazz, latin and swing music.

The group (pictured) comprises pianist, composer and arranger Terry James, Alto Saxophonist Martin Robinson, Bassist Christopher Bingham, Percussionist Sharon James and Guest Singer Sheena McInnes.

They play to original arrangements designed specially for the band at the outlet between 12.30pm and 2.30pm.

Terry said: “The mix of instrumental and vocal music has proved very popular and a real and dedicated following has built up for this style of music.

“All performers have a lifetime’s experience in live music in different formats.”

The band performs all over Cheshire and Staffordshire as well as every second Sunday in the month at Caffe Nero.

Terry added: “Playing in Nantwich is like coming home for us.

“We see the same faces every time and the warmth and enthusiasm with which we are received is very heartwarming!”

The next appearance at the coffee shop is on Sunday April 13.
