A South Cheshire tyre fitter is among 10 chosen across the UK for a new Michelin academy scheme.
The Professionals Academy Car Tyre Retail Programme aims to transform tyre fitters into the next generation expert technicians.
And Chris Hughes, of Crewe Tyre & Exhaust, is among the lucky few to be handpicked for the programme.
Chris spent two days in the classroom and workshops at Michelin’s dedicated training centre in Stoke-on-Trent.
This was followed by a visit to Michelin’s factory in Dundee to learn more about tyre technology.
He will go on to learn more about customer service and get to quiz Michelin experts.
And finally, he will get to test tyres on a Porsche track day experience at Silverstone.
Chris said: “I was really pleased to have been asked to take part, especially as I am only one of ten across the country.
“I have really enjoyed the last two modules and am really looking forward to the driving experience at Silverstone.”
His employer Crewe Tyre & Exhaust, has been recognised as a Michelin Certified Centre – a mark of excellence for businesses.
