Cheshire’s biggest pantomime “Jack and the Beanstalk” is already blooming with a ‘giant’ panto launch at Bridgemere Garden Centre, Nantwich.

The stars were out in full force for the event with Lisa Riley and Brendan Sheerin exploring the centre’s gardens and joining supporters of Crewe Lyceum with a special meet and greet.

Jack and the Beanstalk is produced by Qdos Entertainment and stars Lisa Riley as The Fairy and Brendan Sheerin as King Brendan.

Qdos Entertainment produced last year’s hugely successful Lyceum pantomime, Peter Pan, which achieved record sales for the theatre.

Lisa Riley became a household name in the role of Emmerdale’s Mandy Dingle and has won numerous awards performing in many successful stage and television roles.

She also wowed the nation as a competitor on Strictly Come Dancing before starring in a tour of her own story, Strictly Confidential written by Craig Revel Horwood.

Veteran travel expert Brendan Sheerin became a household name through Channel 4’s hit reality programme Coach Trip, having started his travel career in Costa Brava in the late 70s.

Coach Trip and Celebrity Coach Trip catapulted Brendan to fame, with more than 300 episodes aired since the series started in 2005.

His other TV credits include Brendan’s Magical Mystery Tour and Brendan’s Love Cruise. He has written about his travel adventures in his autobiography titled My Life: A Coach Trip Adventure.

The show’s executive producer Jonathan Kiley said: “We are delighted to have such a sensational cast lined-up for our Crewe production.

“Audiences are in for a real treat this Christmas with Lisa and Brendan both bringing their own brand of first-rate comedy to the show.”

Gordon Millar, Lyceum theatre director, added: “This year’s pantomime promises not-to-be missed seasonal entertainment that will thrill families across Cheshire and Staffordshire.

“With Lisa and Brendan leading the way, we are pleased to be bringing Crewe another year of pantomime to be proud of.

“We know that many families make pantomime a big part of their Christmas celebrations every year.

“We are encouraging our audience to book early for their preferred show to avoid disappointment.”

Tickets are already selling fast, with the show running from Saturday December 13 until Sunday January 4. Tickets can be booked at www.crewelyceum.co.uk
