A concert is being staged in Nantwich to celebrate 25 years of the South Cheshire Support Group of Marie Curie Cancer Care.

The group, started by Ray Stafford, is the longest-established, continuously-running support group in the country.

A Carol Concert is being held in St Ann’s RC church, on Pillory Street, Nantwich (next to the level crossing) on Thursday December 11 at 7.15pm.

Bunbury Choir, under the direction of Daniel Keen, supported by a group of children from St Ann’s Primary School, Nantwich, will be singing a number of carols and Christmas songs.

In addition to mince pies, mulled wine, tea and coffee at the interval there will be a raffle with prizes generously donated by local businesses and other supporters.

There will be a retiring collection in aid of Marie Curie Cancer Care.
