Railway Hotel cemented their bid for the Premier Division title with a thumping win over rivals FC Semtex.

Railway hammered their nearest challengers 5-1 with goals from Lee Mellor, Jez Tagg, Matt Cope, J J Bailey and Karl Gibbs.

Danny Roberts replied for FC Semtex.

The victory leaves Railway nine points clear at the top with a far superior goal difference, although they have played two games more than FC Semtex.

Crewe Athletic and Willaston White Star played out a 0-0 draw.

AFC Leopard overcame local rivals Talbot 5-2 thanks to four goals from Mike Blundell, the other came from Baker.

Ant Broadhurst and Steve Watts replied for Talbot.

In Division One, Faddiley had a bad day at the office going down 8-0 to Santa Maria whose goals came from Daniel Hughes with a hat-trick, Ben Reddock (2), Martin Chesters, Dom Latham and Kieran O’Connor.

Wistaston Ath also hit eight against bottom Club Audlem with a hat-trick from Rhys Potter and other goals from Graham Wrench (2), Ryan Broadhurst, Jordan Smith and an own goal.

Andrew Astley replied for Audlem.

Salavador continued their good form with a 3-1 win at Nantwich YF with goals from Simon Evans, Niven Bailey and Jon Dawson.

Adam Vernon scored for Nantwich YF.

At the fourth attempt the outstanding Presidents Cup tie was played with NHB edging out Square One 4-3.
