A travel agent in South Cheshire is to hold a free Spanish lesson and raise money for Leighton Hospital’s MRI scanner appeal.
Kelly Thornhill, owner of Latin Adventures which specialises in trips to South America, will hold the free session at the Maybury Centre, on West Street, Crewe.
Kelly (pictured) hopes to raise money for the Mid Cheshire Hospitals charity appeal on the night by raffling off one place on her six-week mini Spanish Course.
Kelly, a fluent Spanish speaker, spent 15 years living in South America.
She ran and operated her own travel agency in Argentina for 10 years before moving back to the UK with her young family in 2013 and launching Latin Adventures.
She has taught languages to all levels, and Spanish is the second most widely spoken world after Mandarin.
Only 3% of British holidaymakers can communicate confidently to locals.
Kelly said: “More and more people are realising the importance of being able to speak the native language of their holiday destination – it can make the difference between a good holiday and the experience of a lifetime!”
The free Spanish session is on Tuesday February 10 at 7.30pm.
