Showtime - Crewe Lyceum Theatre, to stage a wedding fayre, and summer events

Crewe Lyceum Theatre is staging a bonanza of productions during the Easter break.

And the shows will include a wide range of characters – from Cbeebies, Basil Brush to Basil Fawlty!

The Easter magic kicks off with CBeebies double act, The Chris and Pui Show on Sunday March 29 at 11am and 2pm.

The ‘Show Me Show Me’ stars bring songs, rhymes, comedy and lots of joining in for the family.

Youngsters can help Old McDonald find his animals, and meet favourites Incy Wincy, Humpty, Little Bo Peep and more along the way.

On Good Friday April 3, Britain’s Got Talent winners Ashleigh and Pudsey the Dog star as Dorothy and Toto in The Wizard of Oz.

Click your heels, clap your hands and go over the rainbow to the Land of Oz to meet some lovely new friends and find out if wishes do come true.

For adults, a dining and entertainment event returns with two nights of “Fawlty Towers: The Dinner Show” on Saturday and Sunday April 4-5.

Basil, Sybil and Manuel will host an evening of ‘Fawlty’ hospitality in this tribute to the iconic sitcom.

Also just for the grown-ups, stand-up comedian Gary Delaney is performing on Saturday April 9.

The ‘Mock the Week’ and ‘7 Day Saturday’ master of the one-liner brings his new show Purist live to the Lyceum (not suitable for children).

On Friday April 10, Britain’s favourite fox Basil Brush is back on the road with his pal Mr Stephen (aka Chris Pizzey).

And for children aged three-and-up, the magical adaptation of ‘Room on the Broom’ returns to the Lyceum from Tuesday and Wednesday April 14-15.

From Julia Donaldson and Axel Scheffler’s beloved picture book, it’s the story of a witch and her cat and all their friends filled with songs, laughs and scary fun.

Marketing manager Gemma Whalley said: “There is something for everyone this Easter holiday.

“With so many entertaining productions to choose from, parents have just the answer for the dreaded ‘I’m bored!’ grumbles – and plenty of opportunity to treat themselves to a night out.”

Easter activities are on-sale now, with seats limited on certain performances.
