Sally Huntington artist, Chester Shopping Day

A Nantwich artist is to have her work displayed at a new exhibition in a nearby gallery.

Sally Huntington’s latest work, inspired by her Nantwich roots, will enjoy its debut public showing at Bailey Arts, Dagfields Farm, Walgherton.

Born in Cheshire in 1974, Sally started working as a full-time artist following a move to Spain in 2003 where she exhibited regularly and enjoyed much success.

On her return to Nantwich in 2013, Sally drew inspiration from her local surroundings.

She created a series of work showcasing the town’s old buildings, history and atmosphere.

Her work will also be displayed alongside that of Tony Gittins, from Wolverhampton.

Tony originally worked as a surveyor for his father’s firm until 26, then he was able to turn more of his time to painting.

His collections reflect the life of the working man.

Now Bailey Arts is staging a one-off event where art lovers can meet Sally and Tony on Sunday June 28, between 10am and 5pm.

All attendees will be entered into a free prize draw to win a beautiful original painting by one of the artists.
