Staff and students at Malbank Sixth Form College are celebrating after A level results showed 99% overall pass rate at A2.

There were top results across many departments with art maintaining performances seen in previous years where they were ranked in the top five departments in the UK.

Top grades were also achieved in Maths, English Language, English Literature, Photography and Economics.

Individually, Jack Hayward-Cooke and Victoria Lewis secured their places at Oxford University to study Chemistry and Law respectively.

Jack achieved one A* and four As and Vicki achieved A* in all three subjects.

At AS level, results were also good with individual results including Alex Leigh (pictured, below), who achieved four A grades.

Malbank headteacher Jeannette Walker said: “I’m delighted our students have worked so hard and got their rewards.

“They leave us to go off to prestigious universities and apprenticeships across the country.

“The staff who have worked tirelessly to support them are really proud that students of all ability levels have achieved their potential at Malbank.”
