Mary Allen and Newlife Foundation circus visit

A disabled Nantwich girl was head of the queue when Circus Starr rolled into Cheshire – thanks to the Newlife Foundation.

Mary Allen and her family were invited along to meet some of the acts in Macclesfield by the foundation.

Newlife is a charity which specialises in finding equipment for children with disabilities or terminal illness.

Twenty-month-old Mary is one of thousands of disabled children who will get the chance to see Circus Starr’s world-class acts.

The youngster has hydrocephalus and delayed development.

But despite this, her mum Donna Edge said she is a happy girl who loves the circus.

So Newlife’s partnership with Circus Starr was the perfect opportunity when the circus arrived in nearby Macclesfield this week.

Newlife is currently working with the family to provide a specialist buggy so Mary can get out and about in increased comfort and safety.

Foundation volunteers are joining the circus audiences with collecting tins, to raise money for the charity’s vital work with families in Cheshire.
