St Luke's Hospice Christmas Bubble Rush

The St Luke’s Hospice Christmas Bubble Rush has helped to raise an eye-popping £12,000!

The event, which took place at Marbury Park, saw more than 400 participants take on the 5km run in bubbly snow.

There were Santas, elves, reindeers and many others sporting Christmas Bubble Rush T-shirts making their way through waves of bubbles.

Jane Thompson, head of event fundraising for St Luke’s, said: “Thank you to everyone who joined in.

“Regardless of the wet weather our supporters still had a fabulous time playing around in the bubbles, which included children and adults.”

Following the success of the event, St Luke’s will be re-launching their summer version.

Last summer, 2,000 people took part in the UK’s first Bubble Rush in partnership with East Cheshire Hospice.

The 2016 event will take place on Saturday May 14.
