Elvis tribute act - 20th march 2016 poster copy

South Cheshire’s award-winning Elvis Tribute is to star in a TV film – about life on the canal!

Paul Larcombe has attracted attention from Channel 5 film crews for his up-coming Cheshire charity gig.

Paul will take the short journey from his narrowboat in Audlem to perform at the canalside Shroppie Fly to raise funds for St Luke’s Cheshire Hospice.

He will perform his Elvis Tribute Show on Sunday March 20 – and Channel 5 film crews will be on hand to capture the gig.

Crews have already filmed Paul on his moored narrowboat as part of a documentary focusing on British canal life.

And they plan to continue filming on the evening of his concert.

Elvis favourites such as Burning Love, In The Ghetto and Suspicious Minds will be on the set-list, along with Memphis-style pulled pork baps to recreate 1970s American atmosphere.

Larcombe has previously won the Elvis European Championships, which led to him being officially endorsed by Elvis Presley Enterprises.

He was the only tribute artist in the world to perform solo in front of the British Royal Family on three separate occasions.

Paul said: “I’m excited about this event.

“It’s going to attract a lot of people in the small venue and so will create a brilliant atmosphere.

“It will also be wonderful to invite the camera crews from Channel 5 to show them the wonderful village of Audlem.

“The main thing is to have a great night and at the same time raise money for such a good cause – St Luke’s Cheshire Hospice.”

Tickets are £15, including Memphis style pulled pork and chips.
