Nantwich Town fans can reminisce about the club’s famous FA Vase triumph 10 years ago at a special reunion event.

The Nantwich Town Independent Supporters Association has organised the event for Friday May 6.

It’s a decade since the Dabbers, led by then manager Steve Davis, beat Hillingdon Borough 3-1 at St Andrews in Birmingham to lift the FA Vase.

NITSA vice chairman and event organiser Ian Garnett said: “Nantwich Town winning the FA Vase was probably the biggest moment in the club’s history to date.

“The NTISA are delighted to be able to remember and celebrate the success of Steve Davis and his team’s triumph.

“Every Nantwich fan who witnessed the amazing success will have their own memories of that year.

“Nantwich wrote the club into non-league football history and it’s great we are able to come together and remember the success.

“I’ve spoken to many of the players who featured in the competition and a lot have said they are coming, so it will be a great chance to relive some memories.

“We are also hoping the FA Vase itself will be attending the occasion.

“But we will have more news when we get it and make sure we keep the supporters updated.”

Tickets have gone on sale for NTISA members priced at £5 per member.

While non-members will have to wait until April 1 to get their tickets for £6.

Tickets are on a first come first serve basis.

To get your tickets, see Ian Garnett at the programme hut at Nantwich Town home games.

It’s also hoped the book “When Nantwich Turned The Vase Green”, being written by club press officer Richard Scott, will be launched on the night.

The book chronicles the success of Nantwich Town in the FA Vase 2005-06 season and features stories from the players and staff.
