Stapeley dog show at RSPCA summer fair

An animal-themed “bake off” will be one of the highlights at the RSPCA Stapeley centre’s summer fair next month.

The event will take place at the Stapeley Grange Wildlife and Cattery centre on London Road in Nantwich from 10am to 5pm on Sunday July 3.

Other activities include a dog show, crafts, archery, tombola, food and entertainment.

Visitors will also have the chance to get their dog microchipped.

As the fair is approaching, supporters are being asked to donate any unwanted items such as gifts, bath sets, hampers that would be suitable for the raffle and most appreciated.

Gardening and cooking fans are also being asked to contribute to the plant and cake stalls to help raise as much money as possible for the cattery and wildlife centre.

Lee Stewart, manager at RSPCA Stapeley Grange, said: “We have lots of fun in store for all the family at this year’s summer fair.

“There is something for everyone, from a cake-baking competition to a fun dog show and ferret racing.

“There is also an opportunity for owners to get their pets photographed and microchipped too.

“The Summer Fair is one of the biggest events on our calendar and a lot of planning and hard work has gone into it to make it a really special day.

“We are hoping the people of Cheshire, Shropshire and Staffordshire will support us – come rain or shine – and will have a great day out with the family, as well as doing their bit to help animals in need.

“We look after thousands of animals every year and every penny that is raised at the fair will help us to continue this hard work.”

Entry for the event is £2 for adults and £1 for pensioners and children. Children under five enter for free.

The cattery and wildlife garden will be open and dogs are welcome on leads.
