Square One are now top of Crewe Regional Sunday League Premier Division after beating AFC Leopard 4-3.

It was a remarkable game in which four penalties were awarded.

Danny Dodd scored three penalties plus a further goal for Square One.

Liam Challoner had one penalty in his brace for AFC Leopard, with Jamie Collina scoring the other goal.

Former leaders Crewe Athletic went down 3-2 at Betley.

Betley led 3-0 at half-time with goals from Steve Johnson, Lee Smith and Chris Worrall.

An improved second half from the visitors saw Warren Hudson score twice, but Betley held out to win.

White Lion Ford Lane missed out on the chance to go top when they surprisingly lost 1-0 at home to Bank Corner, who only had 10 players.

Jordan Southwell got the vital goal for the Alsager outfit.

Salvador beat Willaston White Star 4-0, thanks to a Kevin Sharp hat-trick and a Tommy Uda goal, while NHB lost 3-1 at home to Wistaston Athletic.

Dan Ball scored for NHB, with Ben Burrow, Louis James and Jason Bennett on target for the visitors.

In Division One, Nantwich YF stay top after beating Haslington 5-2 with a Simon Roberts hat-trick plus goals from Mark Mottershead and Tom Dale.

Dale Campbell and new signing Manuel Morasena scored for Haslington.

Talbot’s 100% League record ended in spectacular fashion when they lost 5-1 at home to Elworth Park Rangers.

Ben Reddock scored for Talbot, but Kieron Duckers and George Alcock both got two for the visitors along with a further goal from Jimmy Ingman.

White Horse needed two late goals to finally see off Market Tavern 3-0. Kevin Beresford got two and Dan Jones one.

In the Crewe FA Vase second round tie, Barrel and Tap beat White Eagles 3-2.

Konrad Lewandowski and Cal Latham scored for the home side, but a brace from Louis Everall and one from Rhys Potter gave Barrel and Tap the victory.

The other two Vase matches, plus the one remaining Crewe FA Sunday Cup match were all called off due to waterlogged pitches, and will be played next week.
