Party on Park - aerial view of Audlem event 2017

Audlem Village will turn its playing field into a concert venue and stage for its 18th Party on the Park on July 7.

The party, which started as a sedate evening of proms, has transformed into an extravaganza of tribute acts that thousands of people across South Cheshire and North Shropshire attend.

This year, Motown Gold will headline the event.

Motown Gold consists of a pool of some of the UK’s most accomplished session musicians, many of whom tour West End Shows and perform in some of the most prestigious UK venues.

Their collective experience includes performing with and alongside notable artists such as Elton John, Steve Winwood, Stevie Wonder, Brian May and Craig David.

Motown Gold celebrates the finest songs of the Tamala Motown and Classic Soul era made famous by musical giants such as Stevie Wonder, Aretha Franklin and The Jackson 5.

Support act, Jeremiah Ferrari will warm up the party-goers with their fusion of reggae, ska, rock and pop.

No strangers to performing in Audlem, they have rave reviews at the village music festival but the boys from Manchester are seasoned performers on festival stages around the UK.

Organisers Audlem Special Events Team invite ticket-holders to get into the spirit of the era by dressing up and bringing family and friends along to picnic and enjoy a full afternoon and evening of music.

Gazebo spots sold out in March but some tickets remain on sale at Williams Newsagents of Audlem (cash only) or on line via the event website www.audlem-aset.org

The Party starts at 4pm next Saturday July 7.
