Owners of Nantwich Marina are appealing for help to trace the family of a Cadet Billington after artefacts were found during a clear out.

Sheila Saner said she discovered personal items belonging to a Police Cadet Billington when threw out some old filing cabinets.

Items include a book with a lot of hand-written notes as well as several photographs. It also shows Cadet Billington completed a A.1. Law Course.

Sheila and husband Bill have been at Nantwich Marina since 1994 – 25 years this year.

“We have no idea how long the book has been here because we found it in the back of an old filing cabinet,” said Sheila.

“There are several photographs with it showing both male and female Police Cadets.

“The notes are all neatly hand written and the book if full but there is no date anywhere that we can see.

“One of the laws stated is 1965 so these were here definitely after that.

“We would really like to find the owner as it is such a lot of work and it would be interesting to see what happened to the person.

“Please can anyone help us to find the Owner as we would like to return them or pass them on to a family member.”

If anyone has information that can help, you can contact Sheila on [email protected] or call 01270 625122.
