Detectives investigating a road traffic collision in Shavington on which six people have been arrested are appealing for people with dash cam footage to come forward.

A collision took place involving a blue Ford Focus and a pedestrian on Rosemary Drive at 5.21pm on Friday April 26.

A 38-year-old man was taken to North Staffordshire Hospital by ambulance with injuries described as serious but not life threatening.

Officers are keen to hear from anyone with dash cam footage who travelled along Newcastle Road in Shavington between 5pm and 5.30pm on Friday 26 April.

A 21-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder and is in police custody waiting to be questioned.

A 21-year old man and a 31-year-old man were arrested on suspicion of attempted murder and have both been released on conditional bail.

A 34-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of attempted murder and a 27-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of attempted murder and drug driving. They have both been released under investigation.

A 24-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of attempted murder and has been released with no further action.
