The top four clashed in the Crewe Regional Sunday League Premier Division today with leaders George & Dragon opening up a three-point lead with a 5-0 win at Crewe Athletic.
Joe Duckworth scored four times with Matt Walker also scoring.
Betley FC move up to second place thanks to a 4-2 win over The Lions whose cause wasn’t helped by only finishing the game with nine men.
Scorers for Betley FC were Keiran Duckers with a hat-trick and Simon Roberts with Danny Roberts scoring both goals for The Lions.
In Division One Nantwich Pirates beat Audlem 4-2 at Barony Park (pictured)
They won with goals from Brandon Broadhurst 2, Sam Cadwallader and Joe Hilton.
Paul Bowker and Seb Burrow replied for Audlem.
League leaders Broadhurst FC won the local derby with Winnington SC by 3-2.
Scorers for Winnington SC were Shaun Davies and Jack Duffy with Danny Martin, Danny Griffiths and Tom Hassall scoring for Broadhurst FC.
AFC Talbot suffered their first loss of the season going down 3-2 to JS Bailey.
Scorers for JS Bailey were Greg Bailey, JJ Bailey and Liam Whittaker with James Burden and Dave Johnson replying for AFC Talbot.
Talbot hit goal scoring form with a 8-4 win over C & N Utd.
Scorers for Talbot were Ben Jones with a brace as well as Joe Goodier, Kris Spencer, Scott Rankin Ryan Moss, Daniel Mair and Brandon Grindley.
Matt Saywell, Rhys Bennett, Taylor Ruscoe and Tom Hayton scored for C & N Utd.
