First-half - third Nantwich goal - Connor Heath chips opposition keeper for his second goal (1)

Nantwich Town striker Connor Heath has signed for Colwyn Bay on a short-term basis, the club has confirmed.

Colwyn Bay director of football Neil Coverley and Dabbers manager Dave Cooke agreed the transfer.

It comes as Colwyn Bay hope to shortly commence a short 15-match season in the Cymru North League because of the on-going Covid-19 pandemic.

Nantwich Town’s 2020-21 season looks to have come to a premature end after Step 3 league football was postponed by the national lockdown. The Northern Premier League is set to declare the season null and void.

Dave Cooke said: “I have agreed with Neil for Connor Heath to go play for Colwyn Bay.

“It is looking very likely although not confirmed that the League (NPL) will not recommence again for Nantwich in March.

“However, if it does, we have an agreement that he will return to us.

“It will do Connor a lot of good to get some game time and hopefully some goals.

“And hopefully Connor will do well for Colwyn Bay and he will come back to us with some important minutes under his belt.”
