Enzo bake-off for Ashton Hulme

Enzo bosses in Nantwich are staging a bake-off competition and raffle in aid of a young footballer who had to have his leg amputated because of a rare cancer.

The popular town centre coffee shop wanted to dedicate its bake-off contest tomorrow (April 3) to Ashton Hulme.

The 12-year-old, who plays as a goalkeeper for a Crewe Alexandra youth team, was diagnosed late last year with an aggressive bone cancer.

Unfortunately, chemotherapy did not work due to the nature of the cancer, and surgeons were forced to amputate his lower leg last week.

Enzo owner Cazzie Slates said: “This little boy lived for sports which makes this even more agonising.

“Saturday is a day we are dedicating to Ashton. This boy is completely mind-blowingly incredible!

“We are expecting the most cake entries for the bake off that we have ever had before.

“So please support the fundraiser by coming along on Saturday from 11am and buy some delicious cakes.

“Every penny raised from this cake sale will be given directly to Ashton.”

Raffle tickets will be available to purchase on the day and until 2.30pm before they announce the draw at 3pm.

To buy tickets visit Enzo website www.enzouk.com and you’ll be sent a photo of your tickets.

“Please save the date for Saturday and let’s get as much money raised for Ashton as we possibly can,” added Cazzie.

“We are going to have a lot of cakes to sell and now we need people to buy them.

“And we have a list of some excellent raffle prizes including a Sony PS5 and a year’s supply of pizza worth well over £500!”
