
Fire crews were called to a commercial premises in Aston near Nantwich after machinery began to smoke.
The incident at HJ Lea grain plant on Wrenbury Road started at around 10.20pm last night (June 8).
A Cheshire Fire Service spokesperson said: “Crews were called to a machine containing grain that was smoking at a commercial premises in Aston.
“Firefighters wearing breathing apparatus used one hose reel jet to dampen down the machine.
“Crews worked to empty the machine of its contents, and a thermal imaging camera was used to check for hotspots.”
