Wrenbury & District Model Railway Club are to stage an Open Doors event on July 4 and 5.
Members are planning to show off Wrenmere – their 22ft long 0 gauge layout – with the two new extension boards under construction.
The extendable 009 layout Cannon’s Wharf will be running, as will their N gauge layout Oldfield North.
They will also operate their original 00 layout and their portable 00 layout St Margaret’s plus their special 8ft long 00 layout designed for young people to operate both the locomotives and points.
The club will also display rolling stock across other gauges of the hobby.
Free parking is limited outside the Wrenbury Village Hall venue on Cholmondeley Road, with wheelchair access to both rooms.
Refreshments will be available with two local venues offering special rates for visitors across their menus.
This year’s event is supported by Orion Engineering Ltd of Nantwich.
The Wrenbury club has a reputation for its friendly weekly meetings regardless of your skill or knowledge of the hobby and members are always prepared to give helpful advice.
Meetings are held every Wednesday between 7pm and 10 at the above hall address.
