Nose to Trail owner Rachel Rodgers

Nantwich-based dog trainer Rachel Rodgers has scooped up two more awards.

The owner of Nose to Trail and The Canine School of Trailing has retained her title of “Animal Behaviourist of the Year (UK)” at the Lux Pet Products awards.

She was rewarded for her work as an ABTC-registered Clinical Animal Behaviourist where she works on vet referral with dogs in the local area who are struggling with problems such as separation anxiety and aggression.

And she also saw her second business get it’s first award, winning “Dog Trailing Training Company of the Year” for the North West.

Dog Trailing, or as it is more commonly known Pet Trailing, is where dogs are trained up to find other missing animals.

Rachel founded the business after her own dog Rico excelled in the hobby reuniting missing dogs across the region with their bereft owners.

Rico himself is currently up for the BBC Make a Difference Award!

Rachel said: “In the current economic climate life as a small business owner is hard.

“These awards are a great way to help keep myself and the team motivated even when things are tough!”

Awards coordinator Melissa Bramall said: “It’s always a pleasure to host our awards programmes, and our Pet Products and Services Awards 2025 has been a fantastic opportunity to learn more about such an important industry for the health – and happiness – of our furry friends.

“Our winners pour their hearts into their work and it’s an honour to recognise them for all they do. Congratulations again, it is well deserved.”
