Disco Inferno perform on stage

The annual Audlem Party on the Park concert brought dazzling energy and disco fun to the village playing field last night (June 28), writes Jonathan White.

Visitors at the sold-out event basked in warm summer weather and enjoyed a celebration of music and community.

Comperes Dave Johnson, Justine Cope and Scott James from ‘Blue Sky Radio’ kept the atmosphere upbeat and buzzing.

Nine-piece tribute band ‘Chic Out!’ warmed up the crowd with classics from Nile Rodgers and Chic.

Headliners ‘Disco Inferno’ brought the sparkle, sass and non-stop rhythm of the disco era.

With four vocalists backed by a top-tier band, they dazzled the audience with a feelgood set including Young Hearts Run Free, September, Love Train, I’m Coming Out, Night Fever, Hot Stuff and more.

Their finale, I Will Survive, had the crowd dancing and singing along under the stars.

Festival-goers embraced the disco vibe with glitter wigs, funky outfits, bright hats and glow sticks lighting up the field as the sun went down.

Picnic hampers, refreshments, light-up toys and flashing novelties added to the party spirit.
