Busy day at Boughey Town Centre Market, Nantwich Food Festival

Nantwich Food Festival organisers have unveiled plans for events and music during the three-day festival from August 29th-31st.

There will be two live music stages at Love Lane and the Bowling Green car parks.

Festival music maestro Kevin Lemon has pulled together a programme of live music throughout the Festival weekend.

On Friday at Love Lane, three will be vocalist Dave Chesworth, who can also be found on Saturday at the opposite end of town.

Then it’s jazz and blues with Megan Lee, followed by Kelley Tigerheart and then the popular duo, Baxter.

Friday night headliners are Tokyo Misfires, with their 80s and 90s party music.

Meanwhile at the Bowling Green, Friday visitors will see Pistol Pete Wearn and his fiddle player, Olly Parry.

This will be followed by quirky music by Marc Gallagher, and solo singer and guitarist Erika Ignata.

Oscar Phillips will start his set in solo style, then his band, The Dodgems will join him.

Finally, five-piece band XLS will finish off the night.

On Saturday, the Bowling Green stage will feature the Crewe & Nantwich band ACRYLiC; a five-piece indie band that formed in 2022.

An eclectic line-up at Love Lane on Saturday features Disco Divas, who are preceded by Infrared, a Mancunian grassroots band that formed in late 2023.

They are followed by The Savaloys, who provide a nostalgic trip through the 80s and 90s with indie and classic rock gems.

Closing up for Festival Saturday is Unit 17, the popular local, home-grown Indie band with a great following.

Festival Sunday, starts off quietly but the Bowling Green stage will soon be rocking with a return of local band ACRYLiC.

Before then though, there is Oscar Phillips to enjoy, a return of both Kelley and Unit 17 plus Angel of Harlem – a four piece U2 tribute band.

More music on Sunday over at Love Lane stage starts with Lucy Bevan, lead singer of Infra red.

She will be bringing an exclusive Jazz set to her home town of Nantwich.

Guitarist Joe (also from Infrared) will accompany Lucy.

More favourites follow with Mad Dog Davies Band closing up Nantwich Food Festival for another year.
