Nantwich Youth and Community Centre is set for another dose of “Nantwich Rock” this Friday (July 11).
It follows the sell-out success of the first “Mini-Rock Fest” at the NYCC venue in April.
“Youth Rock – Fest 2” will feature a night of live music including headliners The Dodgems, alongside local acts Cascade, R3volution, and Finn Edwards.
Organiser and youth worker George said the Rock Fest was organised by under 19s for under 19s.
He added: “NYCC is our space and these bands are the voice of the New Nantwich Generation. We are standing up and taking control of our own lives.
“We are diverse, we are loud and we are proud. That’s what NYCC and Nantwich Rocks stands for. Everyone is welcome – We are the future!”

Joe, from local rock stars Twiches Rats, is backing the venture.
He added: “The gig is just the start of something big – the NYCC is exploring a ‘School of Rock’ Every week we plan to offer an opportunity to all young musicians to channel their energy and jam together.
“Nantwich is a powerhouse of high-voltage musical energy. We are going to light up the airwaves! Look out world – here we come.”
Friday’s acts include:
– The Dodgems: headlining, a 4-piece indie rock band covering a wide range of hits, from The Rolling Stones to Rage Against The Machine. Check out their profile here.
– R3volution: This teen indie band brings a mix of nostalgia and energy with covers of classics from Busted to Paramore.
– Cascade: A dynamic 3-piece teen rock band known for songs from Arctic Monkeys, Nirvana, The Cranberries and more.
Local teenage chef Harrison will be serving food at the event.
NYCC trustee and town councillor Anna Burton said: “Nantwich is a small Cheshire town with a big heart and massive energy.
“It’s growing fast with young families finding it the ideal place to nurture the next generation.
“This is the place to live, love and learn. It’s where the next generation of creativity can find its feet, in safety and with support.
“We have received a grant from Cheshire’s Police and Crime Commissioner to help us stage this Friday’s Rock Event and to help power up future music initiatives like our plans for ‘School of Rock’. Thanks Dan (PCC) you are The Man!
“Light the fuse and stand back. The Rock Express is leaving from platform 1 at NYCC.
“Everyone on board for the ride of a lifetime. Come on down, bring your friends, and let’s make it loud!”
