Nantwich’s popular Words & Music Festival is back for its 18th year and organisers are aiming to schedule the most varied bill ever.
The popular event takes place in October and has brought countless music superstars and two poet laureates to Nantwich in the past.
And this year will be no different as organiser Nigel Stonier has lined up the UK’s number one country act The Shires as headline act.
They will be performing at the Nantwich Civic Hall on Friday October 17.
Comedy legend Rich Hall, who has starred on QI and Have I Got News For You, and punk poet John Cooper Clarke will also appear at the Civic Hall on Saturday October 18.

And indie rock icon Gruff Rhys returns by popular demand, taking to the stage on Sunday October 19.
Nigel Stonier said: “With a lot of festivals both big and small having disappeared lately due to rising costs, we’re very pleased to have kept the show on the road so far, and to keep bringing international names to Nantwich!”
Tickets for all events are on sale now via wordsandmusicfestival.com or from the Civic Hall Box Office.
