A sensational opening partnership between Yash Pednekar and Ali Chughtai gave Nantwich Cricket Club 1sts a crushing win over Timperley and move to third in the Cheshire County Cricket Premier League.
After doing the toss at Whitehouse Lane, the Dabbers fielded first and the spin duo of Ollie Griffiths (3-60) and Scott Wardley (3-69) helped restrict the visitors to 224-9 from their 55 overs.
And the Nantwich openers then made light work of what looked like a challenging target.
Pednekar hit five sixes in his unbeaten 111 and Chughtai (pictured above) six maximums in his 104 not out.
The 10-wicket win was wrapped up inside 29 overs.
It means Nantwich have gone above Timperley into third spot and are closing in on leaders Hyde and Didsbury who both lost.

The Dabbers travel to Didsbury this Saturday (July 19).
Nantwich 2nds suffered a setback, though, despite Freddy Woodfine taking 6-55 at Brooklands as the home side were bowled out for 188.
In reply, the visitors lost wickets regularly and only Nick Bentley (28) and Jakob Jordan (38) made any serious inroads as the Dabbers fell 58 runs short.
The Saturday 3rd team were also beaten, falling nine runs short of a target of 219 against Oakamoor CC despite an unbeaten 111 from Arthur Bate, ending on 210-6 from their 40 overs.
On Sunday, Jackson Bentley hit 64 and Jakob Jordan 40 but the 3rds, chasing Sale’s 215-5 from 40 overs, were bowled out for 201.
For Nantwich Women’s 1sts, Emily Clamp hit an unbeaten 65 and Morganne Prince an unbeaten 59 as the home side set Oakmere a target of 182.
And the visitors got home with one wicket and seven balls to spare, despite Eleanor Sinker taking 6-18 from her eight overs.
This Saturday at Whitehouse Lane, the 2nds entertain high-flying Didsbury, with the game starting at midday. All spectators are welcome.
