Nantwich residents and motorists have faced delays and disruption this weekend due to major railway works on the Shrewsbury-Crewe line.
Track renewal works have meant road and level crossing closures in place from yesterday (July 19) until 4am tomorrow (Monday July 21).
And many pedestrians trying to walk into Nantwich town centre were also held up after workers fenced off the footbridge on Wellington Road, as well as closing the road.
The Shrewbridge Road level crossing has also been closed off.

Network Rail say they are replacing the track, sleepers, and ballast, as well as infrastructure improvements near Nantwich, Wrenbury, and Tilstock.
The railway line between Prees and Crewe has been closed in both directions throughout the weekend.
A rail replacement bus service has been serving Nantwich and other stations between Shrewsbury and Crewe.
A shuttle train service will operate between Crewe and Manchester Piccadilly, and a reduced shuttle service will also run between Chester and Crewe.
Passengers are advised to plan ahead and allow extra time for journeys. Check the latest travel information at www.journeycheck.com/tfwrail

We overlook the railway on Wellington road. I can assure this gentleman that the workers worked like Trojans from Friday night till 4am Monday morning. They deserved their breaks.
Went past several times this weekend and never saw anyone actually working. Standing, sitting and even laying down, I think your photographs show the same if you look closely. Typical!
