Nantwich Town Women manager Dan Mellor has signed to lead the team for a fourth year.

It follows a period of success in the cup and league with promotion last season.

Mellor said: “I’m really happy to be heading into my fourth season with this incredible team.

“Last year’s promotion was a massive achievement and a real testament to the hard work, belief, and togetherness in this squad.

“The group we’ve built is strong, hungry, and full of quality, I genuinely believe we can have another positive season.

“I can’t wait to get going in tier 6 and see what this next chapter brings, together we can make it another special year.”

The Dabbers enter the 2025/26 campaign on a high after winning the Cheshire Women’s & Youth Football League Premier Division title in style.

Formed in 2020, the team has quickly made a name for itself, winning 15 out of 16 matches last season and finishing an impressive nine points clear at the top.

They also enjoyed a memorable run in the Women’s FA Cup, reaching the First Round Proper, and made it to the semi-finals of the CWYFL Challenge Cup.

The team is now stepping up to Tier 6 regional football in the North West Women’s Regional League – Division One South.

Their new league rivals include AFC Crewe, Altrincham, Chester, Ellesmere Port Town, Macclesfield FC, Manchester Laces, Runcorn Linnets, Warrington Town, and Wirral Phoenix.
