Coffee giant Starbucks could be eyeing a new outlet in Nantwich, it has emerged.
23.5 Degrees – the UK’s franchise partner of Starbucks – are now advertising for a “store manager” in Nantwich.
The company already operates more than 100 Starbucks outlets in the UK.
The advert, which is offering a salary of between ÂŁ29,925 to ÂŁ32,025, also appears to show the proposed outlet where the current WHSmith store is on the corner of Mill Street and High Street.
However, when asked Starbucks declined to confirm any new location.
The advert states: “23.5 Degrees are looking for an experienced, passionate and motivational Store Manager to join our team.
“We are Starbucks’ first ever UK franchised partner with 101 retail coffee stores.
“We celebrate Equality and Diversity and believe that all our partners (employees) should bring their true selves to work.
“We pride ourselves on our core values, which are, honesty and integrity, respect, accountability and ownership whilst empowering excellence.
“We are looking for an assistant manager or store manager with a background in retail/hospitality, a passion for providing world-class customer service with ability to work in a fast-paced customer focused environment, team development skills and proven coaching experience to coach our Baristas, Shift Managers and Assistant Managers to be the best they can be.”

Starbucks today declined to comment specifically about its plans for a Nantwich outlet.
A spokesperson told Nantwich News: “While we are always looking for new locations and opportunities to bring the Starbucks experience to customers in the UK, we have no news to share about plans for Nantwich at this time.”
The news comes on the heels of plans for two other major brands – Greggs and Burger King – looking to open in the town.
Greggs and Burger King want to open takeaway outlets at the Motor Fuel Group service station at Morrisons.

Starbucks could be moving into the old cafe location within Sainsbury’s, Nantwich.
Not sure another coffee shop is what we need, we need more community hook ups where volunteers run a charity kitchen to cook decent lunches for the elderly and children, somewhere to meet up for friendship advice and services to access, then there could be cooking clubs flower arranging, hobbies classes, having said that there is a perfectly good kitchen in the Methodist church, hospital st already, you would think they would open such an idea to run with. But I agree with others we need a daily shop and deli for sure
So true Tom, they’re the type of people who put their shoes on bus and train seats.
I rarely bother with Nantwich for shopping or coffee with friends, pop over to Tarporley is far better now, too many silly shops like vape, tattoo, party gifts, nail bars, hairdressers and not enough everyday shops like a baker that does great bread pies and cakes, which we have now in Welsh row, then where are the fruit and veg shops? Apart from the supermarket, not in the centre home bargains does a limited selection, where is the dry cleaners, and menders ironing and alteration we used to have, no butchers now apart from Owl farm on the market, and no decent wine and spirit shops and worse crime is no deli either
Cathy and Edward think first it’s not the dogs fault many of them misbehave just look at the owners it’s their lack of respect and failed training. A badly behaved dog is their responsibility not anyone else and shows just how little an owner cares for them. I love to see well trained dogs in town but in five years of living here and working in a shop I have only spotted 3A star owners shamefull go and improve
Well tom maybe you should think about moving to another town as Nantwich is well known for being a very dog friendly place. People like you should go somewhere no pets are allowed,no kids are allowed and you could be sad bitter people together.
WOW !! A Starbucks, that’ll fetch the tourists in for sure, people will come from miles around just to sample it’s way overpriced goods.
Starbucks……where their litter is classed as advertising, the icon of a towns credibility for sure.
Starbucks….is to some a fashion accessory, it’s just classy to be seen carrying one of their cups around…it proves you’re just a little bit above the “normal poor folks” the use the other outlets.
Surely there is an “ism” for this blatant elitist view by some folks who are all for this but way against the likes of McDonalds, Greg’s etc……
Got it, it’s “Dabberism”.. a unique version of completely blinkered snobbery not found anywhere else.
No to flats, no to coffee shops, no to eating outlets, no to chains, no to dogs. Haha, what do we want? Let me guess…a local tailor, cobbler and baker?
Talk about a gerontacracy with no interest in reality.
Nantwich…the town that never sleeps. Must be all the caffeine !
Great news , much needed , will raise the profile of Nantwich to a younger more contemporary generation or positive minded people which can only be good for Nantwich which is facing the inevitability of decline as a consequence of living in the past
It’s simple Tom, if you don’t like it, go somewhere else!
I’ve been in coffee shops where there’s some out of control kid walking across the tables, ever seen a dog doing that? As for the benches, they’re free for anyone to use, I’m sure you could find one to suit your high standards. These days kids make more mess than dogs!
I welcome the business to nantwich, better than empty shops!
No. No No
We do not need yet another American corporate coffee outlet in Nantwich
Our town will soon be swamped by big corporate business and it will lose its charm and uniqueness
I hope it is dog free, far too many mutts muscling in never happened before where food is served just wrong, even caught a dopey guy with his dog sitting on one of the town square benches, it never ends this babying of dogs!! total thicko, people have to sit there
Not another eating & drinking place !
How many do you really need in one town ?
Nothing much left now with proper retail shops
