
Last season’s champions and runners up came head-to-head in a tense clash in the Crewe Regional Sunday Premier League.
Both teams battled it out over 90 minutes, but it was a first half own goal that gave Cooper Buckley the lead.
The second half started off just as tense as the first. However, a red card brandished in the direction of a Cooper Buckley player set up a very tense final half hour.
It looked as though George and Dragon would claim the ascendency, as shortly after the red card.
George’s skipper Robbie Hatton powered through from the left and coolly slotted past the Cooper Buckley keeper to level the score.
Both teams had chances in the final stages, but 10-man Cooper Buckley were able to hold on for a 1-1 draw.
The game at Forge Fields between Sandbach Town and Alderman FC was equally as close.
This game however did end with a winner. After 90 minutes, it was the away side who take home all three points after fighting for a 2-3 victory.
Andy Walker and Kyle Phipps were two of the scorers. The Sandbach goals were scored by Dom Vernon and Ryan Dodd.
Raven Salvador travelled to Winsford to face off against Winsford Over 3 and came away with three points and six goals to show for their efforts. The final score was 1-6.
In Division one, NHB continue their perfect start to the season and made it three wins out of three after a 2-1 victory over White Horse.
Owen Cookson and Colin Watson got the goals for the Bunbury based outfit.

Inter Arena get off the mark in their first season in the CRSFL.
And they did it in fine style as they put five goals past C&N on the Brittles to win 1-5. Sean Heeps scored for C&N.
Audlem are also in good league form as they continue their winning streak in the division.
Dan Rooney and Callum Edwards got the goals for the home side as they came out as 2-1 winners over AFC Dishers. Sunday league Veteran Ben Reddock scored for the away side.
Ruskin Park had a morning to remember as they beat Crewe Rovers 9-1 at home.
Rhys Potter bagged his second hat-trick of the season, making him the early leader in the division one golden boot.
Other goals were scored by Jordan Marsh (2), Soul Palin, Greg Shephard, Danny Tomkinson and Liam Whittaker.
A repeat of last week’s Cheshire County cup fixture between Nantwich Town and Lostock Gralam S&E FC took place on Waterlode.
This time, the result was reversed as the home side take home all 3 points in a 5-1 victory.
Lee McGuinness scored a brace, Alex Chandler, Adam Lee and James Spencer got the goals for town.
Fin Hutton also got on the scoresheet for Lostock Gralam.
