The Peacock Railway in Willaston is set to host its first-ever Halloween themed Running Day on Sunday October 26.

The family-fun event will run from 2pm to 6pm to make the most of the darker hours.

Visitors can look forward to train rides, spooky lucky dip, pocket money Halloween trinkets, and plenty of refreshments to keep the chills away.

Costumes are encouraged to add to the fun, and children who dress up get a free ride.

The event is organised by volunteers of the South Cheshire Model Engineering Society at the venue behind The Peacock Inn, on Crewe Road.

Entry is free, and for £1 per person (cash or card), visitors can take two laps of the five-inch gauge track – almost a quarter of a mile long – helping to support the Society’s ongoing fundraising.

“We can’t wait to welcome families for our very first Halloween themed Running Day,” said a spokesperson for the society.

“It’s all about fun, imagination, and creating magical memories – whether you’re a little ghost, a big pumpkin, or just love trains!”

Other upcoming events at the Peacock Railway include on Sunday 5th October (12pm–4pm) with a public running day, when there will be regular train rides (£1 for two laps).
