RSPCA Stapeley Grange Wildlife Centre in Nantwich has hailed its first Cheese and Wine Evening as a big success after raising £2,150 for the centre’s work.

The event – supported by Falcon Wealth Management – brought together supporters for an evening of fine wine and cheese, music, raffle and auction at the centre on London Road.

Guests were welcomed in the RHS garden at the wildlife centre and tasted South American wines introduced by sommelier Mark Jeffries, paired with artisan cheeses introduced by Nick Birchall, of The Cheese Shop in Nantwich.

Lee Stewart, centre manager, said: “We’re overwhelmed by the generosity of everyone who came along.

Lee added: “Public donations are crucial to the work at Stapeley Grange, and events like these highlight how individuals and companies can make a real difference to the welfare of local wildlife.”
