The event, organised by Nantwich Town Council, will run from 5pm on the Town Square and promises an evening of music and entertainment.

The highlight comes when the Mayor of Nantwich takes to the stage alongside Father Christmas and Miller to officially switch on the town’s dazzling Christmas lights, illuminating the town and marking the start of the festive season.

Miller will also be celebrating the upcoming release of his enchanting new picture book, The Night I Met Father Christmas, illustrated by Elisa Paganelli.

the night I met father christmasBased on his bestselling debut novel, this illustrated adaptation tells the story of Jackson, a boy determined to stay awake until Father Christmas arrives.

What unfolds at the stroke of midnight is a magical adventure across the world — and a heartwarming lesson in the true meaning of Christmas.

“I’m thrilled to be part of Nantwich’s switch-on — it’s an event that celebrates community, imagination, and festive wonder.

“And that’s what my story is all about. Not only that, but I have a personal connection to the town having grown up here.”
